Movie Shelf prompts you to back up every time you add a title — that saves both a Library file (.json, re-importable) and a Poster Sheet (.pdf), both dated so you can find the latest one. You can also trigger it manually here anytime.
If Movie Shelf ever opens up empty (Safari cleared its storage, or you reinstalled it), tap "Restore from Library file" above and pick the most recent MovieShelf-Library-[date].json file — everything comes right back, including your API key.
Looks up a poster image for every movie that has a stored IMDb ID but no poster yet — useful right after a bulk import. Runs automatically, may take a few minutes for a large library.
Get a free key at omdbapi.com/apikey.aspx — just needs an email address. Used only to search titles and fetch posters — nothing is uploaded anywhere else.
